Section 5 Risk Assessment (RA)

5.1 General

5.1.1 A Risk Assessment in accordance with Vol 2, Pt 1, Ch 3, 18 Risk Assessment (RA) is to be carried out for piping systems, electrical power supplies and control systems to demonstrate that suitable risk mitigation has been achieved, for all normal and foreseeable abnormal conditions which could lead to a loss of all system capability.

5.1.2 The RA is to establish that the system retains a level of operational capability as defined in the System Design Description required by Vol 2, Pt 7, Ch 5, 1.3 Documentation required for design review 1.3.2, following failure or damage of pipework, an item of equipment or the loss of a compartment.
