Section 1 Acceptance criteria

1.1 Permanent local lateral deformation

1.1.1 The permanent local lateral deformations after unloading are to be less than 0,3 per cent of the span of the grillage primary members. The span is to be measured as the maximum distance between adjacent members forming the grillage and sharing the same permanent deformation.

1.2 Permanent local out-of-plane deformation

1.2.1 The permanent local out-of-plane deformations after unloading are to be less than the allowable out-of-plane deformations shown in Ch 4, 1.2 Permanent local out-of-plane deformation 1.2.1.

1.3 Slope of load-deformation curve

1.3.1 The slope of the load-deformation curve is to be positive up to the design ice patch pressure, , as defined in Ch 1, 3.1 Symbols 3.1.1.
