7. Per Regulation 12A(9), oil fuel piping located within the protective distances h or w must be fitted with valves or similar closing devices that, on remote control system failure, shall:

A) Fail in a closed position and remain closed at sea except during oil fuel transfer operations B) Fail in an open position to allow emergency draining C) Automatically switch to manual control only D) Trigger an alarm but remain in their last position
