10. Under Regulation 10(2.2.3.1.2), for passenger ships of less than 1,000 gross tonnage and for cargo ships, if a fire in any one compartment could put all the main fire pumps out of action, there shall be:

A) No alternative required, as this scenario is excluded from the regulation B) An alternative means consisting of an emergency fire pump with its power source and sea connection located outside that space C) A requirement to fit a fourth main fire pump in the same compartment D) A requirement to rely solely on portable fire extinguishers
