2.1 General

2.1.1 The due date of the Tailshaft Survey, when a part of Naval Class, should be commensurate with the Docking/ Special Survey. It is especially important that, when this item is overdue or due, the examination should be held. However, if it is seen that the Tailshaft Survey will become due before the date of the next anticipated dry-docking, the advisability of carrying out the survey at the current dry-docking should be discussed with the Owner/Naval Authority.
