Section 6 Sewage

6.1 General

6.1.1 Although not mandatory, the Surveyor should check to see if there are means on board to prevent the discharge of sewage overboard and that the means of containment is in good order and free of any corrosion.

6.1.2 The Surveyor is to check that any means of sewage treatment, if fitted, is in good order.

6.1.3 Any pumps or piping associated with the sewage system should be checked for signs of corrosion or excessive wear.
