Section 1 Scope

1.1 Scope

1.1.1 The purpose of this Chapter is to provide a framework for the hazard identification and risk assessment required to demonstrate that the submarine, systems and equipment can be operated at an agreed level of safety.

1.1.2 The risk assessments and their outputs combined with outputs from the submarine assurance process, will provide evidence to support submarine operation at an agreed level of safety.
