3.6 Interpretation

  3.6.1 Where a question of application of the Code, or an interpretation of a part of the Code arises, the owner/managing agent of the vessel concerned should in the first instance seek clarification from the Certifying Authority. In situations where it is not possible to resolve an issue of interpretation a decision may be obtained on written application to the Director of Standards of the MCA, who may consult with others as deemed appropriate.
