3.5 Control unit

  3.5.1 A control unit is a device which receives automatic signals of:

  • .1 oil content of the effluent;

  • .2 flow rate of discharge;

  • .3 ship's speed in knots;

  • .4 date and time (GMT); and

  • .5 status of the overboard discharge control.

  3.5.2 The unit shall make automatic recordings of data as specified in paragraph 5.8.2.
