Section 1 Objective and scope

1.1 General

1.1.1 The Design Verification process assesses the design of the submarine for compliance with the applicable project specifications, Rules, Codes and standards.

1.1.2 The scope of verification and the verification activities to be carried out by LR are proposed by the submarine designer, agreed by LR and detailed in a Design Verification Plan.

1.1.3 The Design Verification plan is considered an integral part of the Submarine Assurance Plan.

1.1.4 The results of the Design Verification process are to be documented in a Design Verification Report.
