Section 4 Grain Stability Aspects

4.1 In addition to the requirements for the output of intact stability the program is to be capable of calculating and printing, for each grain loading condition, the actual grain heeling moments and maximum allowable grain heeling moment.

4.2 The following information will also be assessed:

  • Curves or tables of volumes, vertical centres of volumes and assumed volumetric heeling moments for partly filled compartments;
  • Filled compartment heeling moments, trimmed and untrimmed as appropriate, including the effects of any temporary fitting;
  • Tables of maximum permissible heeling moments or other information demonstrating compliance with the requirements of the appropriate legislation.
