1 General

  1.1 Recognising that high speed craft may require lighter weight materials of construction than traditional vessels and have fire safety design philosophies that differ from conventional vessels, these standards apply only to accommodation areas of high speed craft. These standards should be applied in conjunction with all the other safety features and limitations inherent in vessels designed and operated in full compliance with the High Speed Craft (HSC) Code.
