If an owner/managing agent or competent harbour authority
is dissatisfied with the findings of an examination and agreement
can not be reached with the authorised person who carried out the
examination, the owner/managing agent or competent harbour authority
may appeal to the Certifying Authority to review the findings. At
this review, the owner/managing agent or competent harbour authority
may call a representative or professional adviser to give opinions
in support of the argument against the findings of the examination.
Should the above procedures fail to resolve the disagreement,
the owner/managing agent or competent harbour authority may refer
the disagreement to the Director of Standards Division of the MCA.
