.1 The control system should be such that through
the necessary automatic arrangements the services needed for the operation
of the main propulsion machinery and its auxiliaries are ensured.
.2 Means should be provided to keep the starting
air pressure at the required level if internal combustion engines
are used for main propulsion.
.3 An alarm system complying with 8.6 should be
provided for all important pressures, temperatures, fluid levels,
etc.
.4 An adequate centralized location should be
arranged with the necessary alarm panels and instrumentation indicating
any alarmed faults.
