1 The Maritime Safety Committee, at its sixty-third
session (16 to 25 May 1994), agreed to a consolidated set of interpretations
of the provisions of the International Convention on Tonnage Measurement
of Ships, 1969 (TM.5/Circ.5).
2 The Maritime Safety Committee, at its ninety-third
session (14 to 23 May 2014), having considered a proposal by the Sub-Committee
on Ship Design and Construction, at its first session, approved the
Unified interpretations relating to the International
Convention on Tonnage Measurement of Ships, 1969 (the 1969
Tonnage Convention), as set out in the annex.
3 Member Governments are invited to use these
Unified interpretations when applying the provisions of the 1969 Tonnage Convention.
