Section 1 Objective and scope

1.1 General

1.1.1 The Product Verification process assesses the construction of the submarine and its systems, equipment and components for compliance with the applicable project specifications, Rules, Codes and standards and the design previously verified during Design Verification.

1.1.2 The scope of verification and the verification activities to be carried out by LR are proposed by the submarine builder, agreed by LR and detailed in a Product Verification Plan.

1.1.3 The Product Verification plan forms an integral part of the Submarine Assurance Plan.

1.1.4 The results of the Product Verification process are to be documented in a Product Verification Report.
