The master should be provided with sufficient information
on any heavy cargo offered for shipment so that he can properly plan
its stowage and securing; the information should at least include
the following:

.1 gross mass;

.2 principal dimensions with drawings or pictorial
descriptions, if possible;

.3 location of the centre of gravity;

.4 bedding areas and particular bedding precautions
if applicable;

.5 lifting points or slinging positions; and
-
.6 securing points, where provided, including
details of their strength.
