MGN 349 (M+F) – “Carriage and Use of Radar Reflectors on Small Vessels” provides further guidance. SOLAS Chapter V, Regulation 19 para 2.7 requires radar reflectors to be carried, where practicable, by ships under 150GT, where radar enhancers or active systems are referred to as “other means”.
